These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of IDOTOO, a couples background-check service operating in South Africa. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
IDOTOO compiles background information on both partners in a couple — including identity, credit, property and related records — from official South African sources, and presents it as a single shared report. Reports are informational and do not constitute legal, financial, or relationship advice.
2. Eligibility and consent
Both partners must be 18 or older and must each provide independent, informed consent before any data is queried. You may only submit another person’s details with their knowledge. Misuse of the service to obtain information without consent is strictly prohibited.
3. Accuracy of information
Report data originates from third-party sources and is provided as-is. IDOTOO does not guarantee that information is complete, current, or error-free, and is not liable for decisions made on the basis of a report.
4. Payment
Reports are sold on a once-off basis at the prices shown at checkout, inclusive of VAT. Because reports involve querying third-party data immediately after payment, all sales are final unless required otherwise by law.
5. Acceptable use
You may not resell, redistribute, or use reports for employment screening, tenant screening, or any purpose prohibited by South African law. Accounts found in breach may be suspended without refund.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IDOTOO’s total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant report.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
